O EFEITO DO TREINAMENTO NEUROMOTOR PARA A MELHORA DO EQUILÍBRIO EM IDOSOS

É comum observarmos idosos dependentes de cuidados devido à perda das capacidades funcionais, dentre elas o equilíbrio, que dificulta o idoso a realizar tarefas diárias onde o mesmo acaba perdendo sua independência. O objetivo deste trabalho foi buscar um método de treinamento que melhore o equilíbrio motor em idosos, que em consequência favoreça suas capacidades funcionais, levando-os a uma melhor qualidade de vida. A pesquisa foi realizada através de uma revisão de literatura, usando acervos de cunho científico. Sucessivamente a pesquisa buscou o treinamento neuromotor como alternativa de tratamento para a perda do equilíbrio motor em idosos. Durante a pesquisa verificou-se que o treinamento funcional é constituído de treinamento neuromotor, que é uma excelente alternativa para a melhora da propriocepção em idosos, que em decorrência refina o equilíbrio estático e dinâmico. Pode se também observar a importância do profissional de educação física na prescrição de exercícios. Este trabalho corrobora a hipótese que a perda do equilíbrio motor está relacionada ao declínio do funcionamento motor com a idade cronológica avançada, além das patologias que afetam o equilíbrio, dos maus hábitos de vida, fatores ambientais, doenças, degeneração fisiológica ou até mesmo a junção desses fatores. Constatou-se que o treinamento neuromotor leva os idosos a uma vida mais independente auxiliando-os a realizar tarefas simples do cotidiano.
